Both plan designs are offered in with our three provider networks. Individual plus plans offer a point-of-service or 'plus' feature. This means you can choose both participating and nonparticipating providers.

SelectHealth offers three plans:

  • Select:value

  • Select:care

Additionally, SelectHealth offers these plans:

SelectKids
SelectHealth Kids plans are tailored to meet the needs of children of all ages. Covered benefits include preventative doctor visits, immunizations, prescriptions, ER visits, and more. SelectHealth Kids plans are designed to provide your child with comprehensive coverage they need at a price more affordable than other insurance alternatives. Kids Plus plans offer a point-of-service or 'plus' feature. This means you can choose both participating and nonparticipating providers.

When confronted with one of life's transitions, this plan can give you peace of mind. The SelectHealth Transition plan is designed to provide short-term medical coverage for the following people:

  • Employees in a waiting period for group coverage

  • Recent graduates
  • New business owners
  • Children who turn 26 and are no longer eligible under their parent's plan
  • Seasonal or contracted employees

Employers:

SelectHealth offers a wide range of benefit options. Each major option is summarized below.

OPEN PANEL
The open panel option allows employers to offer three different plans to their employees: one HMO and two point-of-service "Plus" plans.

  • HMO Plans -  HMO plans require your employees to use participating providers and facilities (unless there is an emergency). One network is available with several copay and deductible options.
  • Plus Plans - Plus plans are HMO plans with a point-of-service feature. This means that your employees can use both participating and nonparticipating providers for most services. Benefits are reduced for nonparticipating services. Your employees will also be responsible for a separate out-of-network deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. Two networks are available with several copay and deductible options.

HEALTHSAVE
SelectHealth’s HealthSave plans conform to the U.S. Treasury Department guidelines for a HDHP. These plans can be used with a tax-advantaged HSA. HealthSave plans generally have higher deductibles than our other plans, but they also have lower premiums. HealthSave plans include HMO and Plus options.

DUAL OPTION
Dual Option allows you to offer your employees a choice between a HealthSave plan and a traditional plan. Dual Option is a good way to introduce higher deductibles for employees who are interested in the advantages of an HSA. To qualify for Dual Option, ten employees must be enrolled at all times.

NATIONCARE
NationCare is our solution for employers based in Utah with employees who live in other states. NationCare is price competitive and provides access to over 60 different PPO networks.

Medicare Plans

Medicare is the nation’s largest health insurance program, covering 40 million Americans. It was designed to provide high-quality health care to people 65 and over, as well as to others with disabilities.

SelectHealth offers two basic types of plans:

SelectHealth Medicare Advantage (MA) plans
These plans cover the same type of services as Original Medicare (Parts A and B), and may give you additional benefits such as vision, hearing, and preventive and/or wellness coverage. SelectHealth also offers Medicare Advantage Plans with prescription drug coverage (MAPD) that give you all your coverage in one plan, with one monthly plan premium and one ID card.

SelectHealth Medicare RxSM plans
These plans offer stand-alone prescription drug coverage that can be added to your Original Medicare (Parts A and B) coverage or may be added to a Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO or PFFS plan.
