Individual Supplemental Insurance

Health insurance can help take care of unexpected medical expenses and the potential loss of income associated with many illnesses. Cover yourself against the costs associated with cancer, heart attacks, strokes and accidental injuries. You can also fill the gap between what Medicare covers and what you need.

Supplemental insurance benefits, like cancer insurance, heart/stroke insurance and accidental injury insurance, are paid directly to you, unless otherwise required. In contrast, hospital and major medical insurance benefits are typically paid directly to the provider. As a policyholder, you can use those benefits to help with your out-of-pocket expenses or loss of income.

Conseco Health Insurance offers the following supplemental insurance plans:

Cancer Insurance
Your standard health insurance will cover many of your medical bills, but nearly 65% of the cost of cancer is nonmedical in 2005, such as copayments, deductibles and daily living expenses, to name a few.

Supplemental cancer insurance is designed to help pay for the nonmedical costs of cancer. When you consider the fact that in the United States men have a lifetime risk of nearly 1-in-2 and women have more than a 1-in-3 risk of developing cancer, additional coverage can be beneficial.

There are two plans currently:
  • Cancer SecureSM
  • Conseco Solutions® CancerSM

Heart/Stroke Insurance
Heart/stroke insurance helps pay the expenses your major medical plan doesn't cover, such as copayments, deductibles and even your daily living expenses. It can provide cash coverage for your health-related needs and it also covers many incidental expenses, such as transportation and lodging.

Hospital Insurance
A stay in the hospital can be expensive. But your first concern should be for care and treatment. That's why there's Hospital Secure from Conseco Insurance Company. It's supplemental insurance for the expenses associated with a hospital stay. After all, costs are rising, and your current coverage could leave you responsible for your co-payments, deductibles, transportation expenses and more.

Accidental Injury Insurance
Your major medical plan may only cover routine medical costs. Sick leave may cover lost wages. But neither is designed to cover the large out-of-pocket expenses associated with accidental injury. And remember that workers' compensation applies only if you're injured on the job.

Help protect yourself with Accident SecureSM from Conseco Health Insurance Company.

Medicare Plans

Medicare is the nation’s largest health insurance program, covering 40 million Americans. It was designed to provide high-quality health care to people 65 and over, as well as to others with disabilities.

Medicare pays a portion of your doctor and hospital bills, but it's not designed to cover all of them. That's where Medicare supplement insurance from Conseco Insurance Company becomes important. Our insurance coverage helps give you the financial resources to cover expenses Medicare won't.

Protect yourself with Conseco Solutions, Medicare Supplement insurance from Conseco Insurance Company.
