Amerihealth offers three basic types of plans:

AmeriHealth 65® — Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)
AmeriHealth 65 is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan designed for members who are looking for cost options for monthly premiums and copays. AmeriHealth 65 also offers a Medicare Advantage HMO plan with a Point-of-Service (POS) option. Members have the freedom to see any provider in or out of the network with this HMO plan.

AmeriHealth Rx
AmeriHealth Rx is a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan that provides members two benefit options. One option requires no deductible.

AmeriHealth Advantage
AmeriHealth Advantage provides standard Medicare Part D prescription drug benefits. AmeriHealth Advantage members who have limited incomes may qualify for extra help paying for prescription drugs.

Provider Network

More than 37,000 primary care physicians and specialists participate in AmeriHealth’s PPO, HMO, and POS networks. Their extensive list of participating providers in the AmeriHealth service area includes more than 230 acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, a number of which are internationally recognized teaching institutions and specialty facilities.

Somerset Medical Center is a nationally accredited, 355-bed regional medical center that provides a variety of comprehensive emergency, medical, surgical and rehabilitative services to Central New Jersey residents.
